At Crypto.com, Vanessa is a key legal advisor to the group’s regulated virtual-asset exchange and OTC businesses, advising on licensing and regulatory strategy across Asia-Pacific, the UAE, and the EEA. She advised multinational corporations on global compliance programmes spanning anti-bribery, anti-money-laundering, sanctions, and data privacy; represented financial institutions in regulatory investigations before the Hong Kong Monetary Authority and the Securities and Futures Commission; and acted in complex commercial disputes, HKEX listing applications, and debt restructurings.
She was admitted as a solicitor in Hong Kong in January 2023. Vanessa read law at the Chinese University of Hong Kong, earning her Juris Doctor and Postgraduate Certificate in Laws on scholarship, and holds a Bachelor of Arts in Neuroscience & Behavior from Vassar College, where she was elected to Phi Beta Kappa. She is a native speaker of English and Cantonese and is fluent in Mandarin.
